Back in Business

It's been awhile since I've blogged on Beth's Babble. The high demands of school, internships and now a full-time job sidetracked me. This is my attempt to attempt short daily entertainment videos. Ryan's Birthday Bash in NYC

Ryan Cabrera took a trip to NYC last night to celebrate his 28th birthday! The musician celebrated at one of NYC’s top restaurant and nightlife locations, Juliet. Juliet is located on 21st between 10th and 11th avenue in Chelsea’s meatpacking area. A trendy, aesthetically pleasing crowd is drawn to this new exclusive hotspot of NYC, making the door a not so easy entrance. Ryan celebrated his birthday with friends and was single for the night. He had neither, a date nor any women around him at his table. I guess he’s still recovering from his last break-up with Audrina from The Hills. Don't worry Ryan, I'm sure with those looks and that voice you'll find a new girl in no time to get past this heartbreak!

George Steinbrenner Dies at age 80

George Steinbrenner, chairman and principal owner of the yankees has died this morning. He suffered a massive heart attack which was followed by death shortly after in his Florida home. Steinbrenner has been ill for the past several years being hospitalized in 2003 and then again in 2006. He turned 80 years old on July 4th. From his ownership in 1973 up until today the Yankees earned 7 World Series titles and 11 Pennants. He will surely be missed by Yankee fans everywhere!

Jennifer Hudson Unleashes Her Feelings

Jennifer Hudson, Oscar winning 'Dreamgirls' star and pre-'American Idol' winner, finally opened up about her feelings towards the serial killings of her family. Early this year her mother, brother and nephew had all been murdered and since then Jennifer hadn't made any comments to the situation. After the incident she told news that she basically stayed confined to a room for two weeks straight where friends and family came to pay respects to her.
She reveals that the whole thing was a major shock to her life and that it was a very traumatic experience to get over...I don't doubt that! She says her 11-month old son, David, is a constant reminder of her nephew who was murdered. She uses her mother for inspiration when raising her son and will try to provide him with the upbringing she received.

Angelinas' Shiloh Wants to be a Boy

We always see Shiloh, daughter of Brangelina, dressed in boys clothes and even sporting a boys haircut. She is commonly seen sporting suits. Angelina comes out noting that Shiloh has Montenegro Style, thats how people there dress. She thinks that Shilohs major influence is her brothers and she wants to be like them. Regardless if she chooses boy or girls clothes to sport, shes still absolutely adorable!

Tom Cruise Bombs

Tom Cruises' film Knight and Day did the worst ever in Cruise action-film history. The film made a revenue of a $20.5 million in its debut putting it in third place of all the released films. It was beat out by Toy Story 3 which earned $59 million and Grown Ups earning $41 million. I guess Tom's entourage of fans its depreciating over time...

BET Award Show Recap

The BET Awards were last night with a lot of familiar faces such as, Queen Latifah (the host), Alicia Keys, Trey Songs, Drake, Justin Bieber, Lady Gage, Beyonce, Kanye West and Chris Brown.
Chris Brown put on a performance in rememberance of Michael Jackson singing his song 'Man in the Mirror'. The performance was a tribute to the singer who passed away a year ago. Chris was even brought to tears during his emotional performance of the song that correlates to his life and the incidents that occured last year with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Sandra Back on the Singles Market

It’s official! Sandra and Jesse have finalized their divorce. The two ended their 5 year run with divorce papers with Sandra indicating the marriage became “insupportable”. Sandra will now be a single mother to Louis, her newly adopted son. The two are still keeping n contact and James wants to salvage any sort of relationship with Bullock that he can. In doing so he is moving to Austin, Texas with his three kids.

Amy Locane DUI Homicide

The Melrose Place star Amy Locane is arrested for a DUI in Montgomery, NJ on June 27th. Witnesses say they saw Locane driving recklessly and knocking down mailboxes. She told police that she had several glasses of wine before driving her vehicle. It has been made aware that she was involved in a hit and run before her accident that killed the passenger and put the driver in the hospital under critical condition. If convicted she can serve 5-10 years in prison.

Vienna for Playboy

Vienna Girardi tells all that she will soon be posing for playboy. The Bachelor winner mentions that the Bachelor did not pay her anything for doing the show and that she had run through all of her savings. I guess Gregory Michael hasn’t stepped up to be her sugar daddy! She is hoping to make a deal with playboy for about $250,000 and exclaims that she wants to use this money to do something nice for herself. Her photos will be in an issue later this year.

Megan Fox & Austin Green Eloped

Long time lovers Megan Fox and Austin Green finally tied the knot, but on the down low. The two have been together since 2004 and originally were engaged in 2007 until they broke off the engagement in February 09’. The couple then reunited and re-engaged on June 1st. It has been acknowledged that the fairly large wedding, kept hush hush, had more security than guests. The two wed in Hawaii’s Four Seasons Haulalai(photo above) in historic Kalupulehu on June 24th. The couple is still at the hotel continuing the celebration and relaxing for their honeymoon.

Eclipse Opening Skyrockets

The release of the third Twilight Sagas named Eclipse opened on Wednesday, June 30, midnight. The newly released filmed made a total revenue of 30$ million and was released in 4,416 theaters. It was the third widest release ever even beating out Iron Man 2. It’s been discussed that the film will continue to be released in more theaters by the weekend. Critics even gave the film the best remarks out of all three pictures thus far. I guess that things will be looking up for when the fourth and final Twilight saga series movie is released!

Sheen in Shackles!

Sheen is going to AGREE to a plea bargain. Looks like Charlie is finally getting a little slap on the wrist after his long history of alleged abuse to his significant others! He is going to accept the plea bargain offered for assaulting his wife on Christmas in 2009 PEOPLE reports.
The court date is on June 7 and once he accepts the bargain he will have to serve 30 days. If he is a good boy though he can be out in possibly 15! There are just some very important details that are still being worked out! What problems do you ask? Well, the jail does not allow any smoking whatsoever! OH NO! Poor Charlie! I don’t know what he will do if they don’t let him smoke in prison…please, spare us the agony.

TWI's and Debt Don't Mix... OOPS!

So as we have all heard recently the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was recently not only caught, but VIDEOTAPED, in the midst of a “business transaction”. She was attempting to sell information about her ex-husband Prince Andrew requesting $38,000 for one of her friends (or so she claims) in need and then added and additional $725,000 for herself. I guess it makes sense for her to add in some interest huh?
So when she finally got caught what was her response?

"I'm aware of the fact that I've been drinking, you know, that I was not in my right place… I was looking for quick fixes in the places I wouldn't normally look. I think I've been a huge over-trusting, idiotic, stupid woman,"

Fergie told Oprah. You THINK? Her reasoning for the whole incident was due to Talking (or better yet, THINKING) While Intoxicated. Personally I still don’t see that as a good enough excuse especially from a 50yr old woman, but HEY at least she acknowledges her own stupidity. I guess we can all agree that when we drink we don’t get the brightest ideas… Apparently drinking and driving isn’t the only harm that alcohol can bring!

Al and Tipper Gore Split

So it’s official! Al Gore and his wife Tipper are officially splitting. An email has been circulating the media this morning in regards to their relationship collapse. The email read as follows

“We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate…a mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration“

The couple is splitting after a 40 year marriage together. The pair have seemingly grown apart from each other.
